Invercargill. Wednesday. Phyllis Baxter, the last victim of "the recent tragedy, died this morning from injuries to the head. She was conscious almost to the last, and frequently inquired for her mother. THE jmrciSTOX FATALITY. Invercargill, Wednesday. At the inquest concerning the death of Charles Brown, George Saunders, and' William .lones, who were drowned oil' Rivcrtnn beach through a mishap to an oil launch, evidence was given that theycarried no life-saving apparatus. Apparently the crew ran licfore the galeand attempted to beach the boat, but she capsized in the surf. A verdict of accidental death was returned. A rider was added that all lishing craft ought to carry life-belts.
INJURED 1!Y FALL OF EARTH. Wellington, Last Night. Alfred K. Gibson, a single man, was taken to the hospital to-day suffering from concussion of the spine, caused by a fall uf earth at the liutt railway duplication works.
