RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS. Wellington, Last Night. Regulations have been made in connection with the New Zealand Research Scholarships. There will be one each year foi each of the four university colleges. The scholarships will be oi the value of £ 100 per annum, and will have a tenure of two years, with possible extension to three years. RABBITS JN AUCKLAND. Auckland, Tuesday. Rabbils are increasing in numbers' so rapidly in various parts of southern. Auckland at present that they are becoining a serious nuisance. ' Noticing this fact, and with a view to turning the rabbits to a profitable account, the Auckland farmers' Freezing Company is making inquiries with the idea of establishing a rabbit freezing department at the Auckland works. Should the inducement appear sufficient, the industry will he commenced in Auckland in time for this winter's trade.
