The Under-Secretary for Crown l.ands wrote that section I, block 13, Taurakawa, was not open for application under the s.g.r. teuure.—Resolved to obtain a report on the land. W. Welsh and McLellan, who had previously applied to surrender section !l, block 15, Omona, were granted permission to retain the land. The ranger will rejwrt upon R. B. Hamilton's application to surrender small grazing run lease of Section 601, Fatea district, in order that it should be re-offered for cash. The ranger's report was considered, and tenants in default with improvements will be called upon to show reason why their holdings should not be forfeited. The Commissioner reported bis inability to obtain from Mrs. W. Ward a refund of the amount of the insurance premium on the houJe on section 98, block 8, Waimate, occupied by her.— Deferred. The application of Isaac llollowav for temporary grazing tenancy of part of Aria township was referred to the Commissioner. The Dnder-Seeretary for Crown Lands advised the course that might be pursued in regard to Messrs. Parker Bros.' |ea*e of S.G.R. 11, Okakn.—The Board decided that it would accept a surrender of the lease in twelve months time, and that a re-valuation be made now with a view to the present tenants obtaining a new I •.<-!•.
