OBITUARY
MR. T. 0. KELSEY.
Genuine regret was e.\pres-ed yesterday in commercial anil social Circles ■like when it became known that .Mr. T. O. Kelsev hail passed awav at hi* residence after a short but painful illness. Mr. Kelsey came from an influential l-ondon family, anil arrived in New Zealand .-<>me thirty year- ago. He was well known in business t i r--l ■■ - ill Christchurch, and took a prominent part in the efforts then made to secure railway communication between the West Cai.t ami the City of the Plains. Upon coming to New l'lymoutli he joined Mr. Newton King, ami afterwards left to enter business mi his own account as accountant, agent, and auditor His services have for many years lieen willingly rendered to, and considered almost invaluable by, the New Plymouth public library committee, his c-pecim department iicing the selection of books. He took a very great interest in library matters. He was also for many years secretary to the laranaki Agricultural Society. Mr. Kelsey was only ill from Thursday last, and the end came suddenly. Wannest sympathy is extended by a wide circle of friends to Mrs. Kelsey and the three children, the eldest of whom is at school in Wellington, and who has been sent for, together with Mrs. Kelsey's brother. Mr. .toe Parker. Mr. Kelsev's sister resides ia Dunedin. and was communicated with last evening.
