Pier Press Association. Oamaru. Last Night. A lire was discovered in the lower story of A. and D. Simpson's furniture warehouse this eveuing at 7.30 o'clock, and it was extinguished only after the place had heen Hooded with water. A dwelling owned by J. Tait waa'destroyed by fire. The building was insured lor ,C3l)0 in the United Oitice, and the furniture for £75 in the North British. Mrs. Meßride, the occupier, was absent fom Masterton at the time of the lire.
