The following hours will be observed by the Post and Telegraph Department On Good Friday and Easter Monday:— Postal Branch.—Good Friday (April 17th) will he observed as a close holiday. Easter Monday (April 20th) the usual despatch of mails will be made up to 8 a.m., and the IPost Office will be open in all branches, except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Telegraph Branch.—Good Friday, which is observed as Sunday, the office will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.; Easter Monday, from 0 a.m. to i p.m. and 7 p.m. till midnight. Telephone Exchange.—Good Friday, open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and open as usual on Easter Monday. A special delivery of correspondence will be made over the public counter on the evenings of the 16th and 18th, from 8-30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. All mails usually closed on Friday will be closed at 8 p.m. on Thursday, the 16th inst. All receiver* and posting-boxes will be cleared at 7 p.m. on Thursday. There will b« no delivery by letter-carrier on Easter Monday. Sunday hours will l<e observed in the private-box lobby on <!ood Fridav, and open as usual on Easter Monday.' The Railway Travelling Post Office will run aa usual on Good Fridav, and Easter Monday.
