Napier, Last Night. The autumn show of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society wa's held at Hastings to-day. A few light showers fell during the day, but the attendance in the afternoon was large. There were two entries for the district exhibit competition, which was won by the Pukctapu branch of the Farmers Union, with 307 points, the Hastings' branch of the Farmers' Union being second with 330'/. points. Tlie following were the winners of the points prizes:-Sheep: Oswald Nelson, M points, 1; Douglas McLean, 41) points,
Honey and beeswax—T. Robinson I. Vegetables— J. Holdsworth, 77 points, 1; B. Chambers, 71 points, 2; Douglas McLean, 33 points, 3. Field of potatoes—W. H. Smith 1. Poultry—Hamburg, W. Sinclair; white Leghorns, Airs. W. 11. Oppert; silver Wyandottes, E. E. Howard; black Orpingtons, Mrs. E. Baldwin; bull' Orpingtons, Mrs. E. Baldwin.
The competitions resulted as follows--Underhand chopping: JV Pent (Zusee,, 2mm 4usce, 1; E. Pedder (40sec.J, 2min 4/see 2. Single-handed sawing: J. Pent Msec), Jmiin 13Sec, 1; E.
