SYDNEY-VANCOUVER SERVICE.

A NEW LINE OF STEAMERS.

Received 3rd, 12-30 a.m. Sydney, April 2. Information has been received thajb arrangements have beeu concluded with Charles Barric and Sons, the Dundee owners of the Den line of steamsnips and the Indra line of Liverpool, to take the Alley Company's contracts with tho Canadian and New Zealand Governments, and jointly to conduct a regular line of steamers; the service to bo two-monthly. At present the vessels are leaving Sydney and Vancouver simultaneously, calling at Auckland, Wellington, or other porta as inducements offer. It is hoped before long .that trade will justify monthly steamers.
