THE LATE MR SEDDON.
VICTORIAN WORKERS' MEMORIAL.
SUBSCRIBERS INDIGNANT.
Received 3rd, 1.4 a.m. Melbourne, April 2. A memorial tablet, subscribed by the men of the Newport workshops, to tne Ute Mr Richard Seddon, has not been erected according to promise, although it has been in New Zealand over twelve months. As a result, there is much feeling on the matter. The secretary has written to Sir Joseph Ward several times. On each occasion he had received a reply that there hud been no time to do anything, but that the matter would receive attention as soon as possible. The secretary has now written to the secretaries of kindred unions in New Zealand to urge Sir Joseph Ward to take action in the matter.
