REGISTERING OF INSURANCE COMPANIES.
HAMPERING RESTRICTIONS. Eeccivcd 2nd, 10-38 p.m. London, April 2. A deputation, representing rurious large colonial insurance companies, interviewed the Board of Trade, urging that the companies who were unable to register here under the Companies Act, should be allowed to hold, without inconvenience in getting it, a license under the Tormain Act for each transaction, Mr. Kearley, Parliamentary Secretary, on behalf of Mr. Lloyd-George, President of the Board of Trade, while sympa-
thetic, said he doubted the possibility of legislation to relieve the hampering restrictions being passed this session, unless the Board were satisfied that there would be no opposition,
