ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. luvercargill, March 28. Thomas Scully, farmer, of Mill road, was killed by a fall from a cart. Hia bond struck a stump, fracturing the skull. Dunedin, Saturday Night, At the inquest at .Mosgiel to-day on the body of Thomas Arthur Bramble, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Outram, who was killed on the railway on Friday night, evidence went to show that deceased had apparently not noticed that the train had arrived at Mosgiel (at which station he should fliave alighted) until it had got under way again for Clinton, and tliat he then hurriedly left the carriage in which lie was sitting, and jumped off the train, which had attained a good rate of speed, lie fell on to the platform and was dragged under the train, the guard's van passing over his right leg, completely severing it. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
Invercargill, Last Night. An inquest was held on Saturday touching the death of James Edward Fox, who died at Mabel station. Tho medical evidence showed that death was due to acute septic poisoning from internal abscesses, probably caused by inflammation in tho soft part of the nose, for which deceased had received medical treatment. The jury found that death was due to natural causes.
