Per Preas Association. Chrislchurch, Last NightThe Ta Oranga enquiry continued yes- . tcrday, when Mr. T. J. Sniail, lay evangelist, who has made a practice of visiting the Home regularly since its inception, gave evidence. He stated it was one of the best managed institutions in the Dominion, and was doing excellent work under the care, of Mrs. Branting, who always watched over the inmates with motherly care. Tn regard to classification, he thought the first step necessary was it kind of receiving building, a place where new arrivals could be placed, and whence they could bo drafted into higher classes according to conduct. This portion should be under the control of an assistant of a kindly disposition, and one who had a real love for tho work. The girls should be encouraged to lead a better life, and overy inducement offered them to graduate to the highest class in the institution.
