Received 20th, 10.40 p.m. Now York, March 20President Roosevelt, interviewed by a representative of the Paris Temps, justiiied liis crusade against plutocracy and anarchy. He declared that the American fleet would return home immediately after visiting Australia. The object of the cruise was to make Americans understand that tho fleet was a great and important factor in maintaining the nation's world policy. He also wished to show the Powers the strength of tjhe United States. President Roosevelt stated that if the plutocrats were allowed to convert the country into a Tyre or Carthage they would be the harbingers of auarchy.
