SHIPPING FIRM FAILURE. -London, March 17. The hearing of the petition for the compulsory winding up of the Sunderland shipping firm of Sir Jas. Lamg and Sons, was adjourned in order to give counsel an opportunity to cross-examine, witnesses. Counsel stated that the company since 1900 had lost upwards of £250,000. No reason was given for these losses.
