Nelson, Last Night,

A Are at Lower Moutere last night destroyed a house owned by Edward Brougham and occupied by Henry Bate. The latter was uninsured, but the house was covered.

Ashburton, Last Night.

A fire occurred at Wakanui laßt evening, whereby a house of eight rooms, owned and occupied by Daniel Leddy, was, with the contents, totally destroyed. The origin is unknown. The insurance were: On the building, £240, and on the furniture £BS, in tire State office.
