I would remind owners and trainers that nominations for the Manaia Hack Racing Club's meeting close with the secretary at his office, Manaia, on Wednesday, 18th inst. The New Zealand Times gives the following list of penalties inclined by winners at Dannevirke and W'anganui. for the Napier Park meeting:—Hurdles. Ataahua (10.13) lOlbs, Reservoir (10.4) lIJIIjs, Bushranger (!I.O), iolbs; Esk Hack Handicap, Gold Thread iii.li) jibs: Sapling Stakes, Ludv .Mcns-hikoli' <•>.!-> i •3lbs; KedcliHe Hack Welter. Blue IJell (0.0) jibs, Osiris (8.0) lOlbs. Flying Handicap, Gold Thread (7.8) lOlbs, Maid of Astolat (0.7) Kilbs. Ataahua, Marguerite. Lady Menschikoll' and Gold Thread, who all won at Wanganui, are engaged at Napier ['.irk to-day, and are in tip-top form at present. Were they re-handicapped, the quartette would probably carry more than their present penalties. Blue Bell, Oxton, and Ancycle are oil the improve, as their recent forward running proves.
Hydraulic did not accept for the I'llkaka Hack Race at the Taranaki autumn meeting.
