FIRES.

Per Press Association. Auckland, Monday. A seven-roomed house in Arney-road, Eemucra, owned by Mr. Coles and occupied by Mr. Malcolm Fleming, was destroyed by lire on Saturday. It was insured for £3llO in the Sun oilice. The furniture was not insured. A lire occurred early on Sunday morning at the residence of Mr. Leo Myers, occupied by Mr. J. Mills, Collector of Customs. The brigade confined the tire to the front portion of the house in which was stored a quantity of goods belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Myers. It had been stored prior lo their departure for England. The damage is estimated at £2OOO. The house was insured for £2OOO. The furniture was insured in the Alliance office.
