At a carnival in progress at Branj•nze, Portugal, a peasant represented the late King Carlos and the peas* ,Ci eldest son represented tlie Crown Prircc. The peasant's -second son impersonated Buc.i, one of the King's assa;t nc. Not knowing the revolver lie wt.s using was loaded, he fired and killed his father. The son was so much shiK'l I la' le had to be forcibly restraiied from cmmitting, suicide.
