A CLEVER SWINDLE.
'■PAK-A-POO" BANK BROKEN. .Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Post states that a "pak-a-poo" bank in Huiiiing street was defrauded of K250 by a man who concealed himself in the rafters while the drawing was going on. To save time, and to prevent the police interfering ,the drawing was conducted while the tickets were, being collected from agents. A confederate took marked tickets to an agent whose tickets were not then collected. The amount won was over £250, but this was all the bank could raise, and it was accepted at once.
