At the Supreme Court to-div Martin Johnson, charged with arson, was found guilty, and sentenced to live year*' imprisonment. A peculiar point, however, has been reserved for the Court of Appeal. The indictment charged Johnson wth setting lire to a building which was affixed to the soil, and counsel for the ( defence raised the point that the Crown had not proved tint the building was alllxed to the soil.
