MONUMENT TO SHAKESPEARE.
Loudon, March 0. A site has been chosen lor a (Shakespeare architectural monument and statue. It is in Park Crescent, looking down upon Portland Place. All effort is being made to raise £200,000 for the monument and for the furtherance of Shakespearian interests.
KRUGER'S HOARD. Johannesburg, March 6. The Transvaal Premier. .Mr. Louis Botha, states that President Kruger left 14,000 sovereigns and 48,000 "bluebacks." These have bee n offered to Lord Milner, but he has refused to accept them. The money is still in the bank. THE LATE LORD LINLITHGOW. London. March fl.
