BREAK UP OF THE DROUGHT.
Per Press Association. Taihape, Thursday. The drought has entirely broken up ill this district, heavy rain falling throughout last night and this moruing. The tires showed signs of reviving, but the rain here and in the Waimarino soon, effectively quenched them. Napier, Thursday.
There was a welcome change in the weather during the night. Several smart showers fell. The outlook is promising. Elthain, Thursday. Last night 2.2(i inches of rain fell. From Christmas to (lie end of February only I.BU inches had fallen.
