ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION
PERSIAN" SHAH ESCAPES UXHI"RT. TUREE KILLED; TWENTY WOUNDED. Teheran, February 2S. Two bombs were thrown at the Shah Bt Teheran. Three persons were killed and twenty wounded. The Shah was unhurt.
BOMB THROWN FROM A HOUSE ROOF. FLIGHT OF SHAH'S BODYGUARD. TWELVE KILLED". ~~ Received Ist 5 p.iu.m Teheran, February 2!'. Details of the attempt on the We ot" the Shah indicate that bombs were thrown from the roof of a house in a narrow street.
One exploded in the air; the other struck the ground, killing the outriders near the Shah's unoccupied motor car. The tribal cavalry escorting the Shah fled.
The Shah, who occupied a carriage in the rear, returned to the palace. Twelve were killed altogether. A aeareh of the houses in the vicinity of the outrage proved fruitless. The news of the occurrence caused the greatest surprise in London, as the situation in Teheran recently has been quiet.

'An attempt has been made on the life of Dr. Alcorta, President of the Argentiae. A bomb was thrown and struck Dr. WcorU'i carriage while be was driving in the streets of Buenos Ayres, but failed to explode. Four arrests have been made.
