AXXCAL MEETING. Per Press Association. Palmcrston N., Saturday Night lhe annual meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association was held to-day when the following were elected as officers . for the ensuing ycur:—President, nrm ,^ rl)0n; vice -l>r*sidents, Messrs. «. 1. Wood, M.P., E. R. Lancaster, E. Short, and J. K . Harkncss; treasurer, Mi. J. At. Johnston; committee, Messrs. Jacob, Luxford, Wheeler, Buchanan. I ratt, Pringle, Aldworth, Lang, ml can, Jarvis, and Davis. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, and a progressiva procedure for th c coming year discussed at some length. The ret/riiipresident. (At ,1. F. Jacob), in his address spoke, highly „f the work done »y the committee in forwarding the work- of the Association, and urged that I in the coming year the members should work hard individually to increase the membership, which has during the past few years shown a slight, falling off. lie pointed out that their receipts were not up to the mark, while the expenditure was slowly creeping up, , in ,i t he most satisfactory method to cope with this was to increase the membership, and also the donations.
