GERMAN CONVICT STATIONS.
A SCHEME BLOCKED. I Berlin. February 20. In the Reichstag it was stated that it had never been proposed to transport to the German colonics of the Pacific Ocean criminals under sentence, but to send only persons who had undergone imprisonment there in order to give them an opportunity to recorer their place in society. The scheme was blocked by financial difficulties without international considerations being mentioned.
