SHIP ENGINEERS' STRIKE.

STOPPAGE OF SHIBUILDINU THREATENED. London, February 20. The engineers engaged in the ship, building trade in the North-East cuuuties of England have struck work. A complete stoppage of shipbuilding is threatened. This would mean that eighty - three thousand men would be thrown idle.

The Hon D. Lloyd-George, President of the Board of Trade, has invited Sir Andrew Noble, chairman of one of the shipbuilding companies to confer with him regarding the crisis.
