AN ISLAND TRAGEDY.
A MISSIONARY SPEARED TO DEATH Received Feb. 22, 1.3 a.m. Thursday Island, Last Night. Mr. Peter Roc, a Samoan missionary, was murdered by natives of tbe Presbyterian mission station at Arukum. Air. Bee was relieving the resident missionary, who was furloughing. . After spearing Mr. Bee the natives threatened his wife. The murderers left the. mission property undamaged.
