ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Press Association. Inglewood, Thursday. There was a marvellous escape from death tliis morning at the railway crossing ill the centre of the town. A milk cart was being driven across the line. A train caught the trap at the wheel. The driver was knocked out, and the horse and trap carried half a chain. The horse, was deposited on the cattle stop. . Tile engine-driver applied the emergency brake, anil the train was brought ti) a standstill. The horse was then secured while the whole train passed along. It was then able to walk home. The driver was uninjured. Auckland, Last Night. Martin Henry Harrison, foreman at J, J. Craig's stables, was run over by a vehicle at Parnell this evening and fatally injured. The wheel passed over bis thigh', and Harrison died on his way to the hospital.
