MR. DEAKIN'S SCHEMEReceived 14th, 11.25 p.m. London, February 14. The Morning Post declares that the Australian criticisms of Mr. Deakin's naval policy, in some respects mutually destructive, suggests that he has chosen the happy mean. The paper believes that Mr. Deakin has succeeded in reconciling the interests of the Imperial union with' those of national development.
