RETRENCHMENT WANTED. London, February fl, The Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Hon. H. H. Asquith, is objecting to the naval estimates framed by Lord TweeeW mouth, First Lord of the Admiralty.He considers them too high. \ The estimates have been returned to the Admiralty for revision. • Cabinet has appointed a meeting to consider further retrenchments, especially in the .Navy. One hundred and thirty Liberals who are pledged to reduction of armaments, are now pressing the Government to reduce the estimates, though these have not yet been tabled. The debate on the question was yesterday postponed. This was obviously inconvenient to the Government. ,
