The initial meeting of the Wellington Pony ami Galloway Racing Club, which will be held a fortnight hence, promises to be very successful. The club has secured 35 acres of perfectly level land adjoining "Wonderland," and have laid out a nice course just under six furlongs in circuit, and two and a-half chains wide. Appointments, which include a stand tu seat 1100, arc nearing completion, and the nominations which closed yesterday have exceeded expectations. The course is situated at the head of Ihe Miramar Valley, and is easy of approach both by ferry steamer and electric ears.
