INTERESTING ITEMS.
The Garrison Band intend holding a grand complimentary vocal and instrumental concert to honorary members of the band at the Theatre Koyal on Thursday evening next. Messrs. L. A. Nolan and Co. advertise a sale of household effects, etc., on behalf of Mr. A. H. Martin, Vivian-street. The sale commences at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday next. The Fitzroy Town Board insert a notice re dog registration. Mr. Newton King's annual sheep and cattle fair at Awakino will be held on Wednesday next. Some splendid sheep have been entered, including a number of Lincoln and Border Leicester rains. The entries arc advertised in another column.
Farmers will be interested to notice that from to-day and until further notice the Chrietchurch Meat* Company. Ltd., is to pay 4'/;>d per lb for baconers. The company will receive pigs at Moturoa February 11 and 25; Douglas road. February 3 and 17; Toko, February 10 iind 24; Okato, February 4 and 18; and Stratford, February 5, 12, 19, and 26.
