ENGLAND v. TASMANIA.
Hobart, January 28. Tasmania in the second innings lost eight wickets for 1117 (Burn 112, Eadv Wi, Tabart .w). The match was abandoned on account of rain.
N.S.W v. VICTORIA. Keceived 29th, 1210 p.m. Sydney. January 28. Victoria in their second inning's hive lost seven wickets for 3'i:S (Hansford 129. Tarant 129 not out). The former played beautiful cricket. He had a couple of lives. Tarrant was very slow in knocking up his runs.
i The match between the New Plymouth juniors and the High School, which should have been played on the High School ground, will be played at Tukapa, the School ground having been ploughed. At a meeting of the New Plymouth Cricket Club last night, the rules, as revised by a sub-committee, were adopted. Mri. Whittle presided.
