loung Hobbs and Co. report: On I'm-day. 21st instant, we held a very successful sale of aliove produce. We were again favored with consignment's irom all parts of the district. Most of toe hides showed a marked improvement in quality, owing to belter care being taken in their preservation. We catalogued and sold ,ik. shee|iskins. 11) bales wool, 50 bags wool. 2511 hide.-, 300 calfskins, !l casks tallow. liones. eowlails. ete. Buyers were in attendance from all jiartis of this island, and the demand was keen throughout. Ifides were firm at about Vid aitvanee for cow, while ox advanced '/ 2 il Hpon rereut prices. Clients should be satisfied with results for hides, as price* ruled with lis at par to '4d below recent Melbourne prices. Wool showed a drop of Vid to Id per lb.
