SIR WILFRID LAURIER IN REPLY. Per Press Association. Wellington, Lnst Night. The reply received by the Premier from Sir W. Laurier, Premier of Canada, shows that the cablegram relating to the alleged failure of the New Zealand Government to answer certain correspondence relating to the Vancouver mail contract had no foundation in fact. Sir Wilfrid Laurier cabled as follows; — "Tne statement was incorrect; all I said was that the contract for the renewal of uie Canadian-New Zealand-Australia service had been prepared and signed here; by the Minister of Trade and Commerce and sent to the contractor for signature, but it lms not yet been received hack. 1 '
