TARIFF COMMISSION'S ANALYSIS. NEW ZEALAND AND BRITISH TRADE. Received .Jan. 17, 1.1 a.m. London, January 10. The Tariff Commission, in analysing tlie New /en hi ml tariff, shows that preierence will affect four millions worth of goods in groups wherein British trade is chiefly concerned, compared with two and three-quarter millions under the old tariff. Of the imports now subject to preference, about one-fifth are imported from foreign countries. Speaking generally, the Commission considers the level of the tariff slightly reduced.
