INQUEST ON TAIAROA'S DEATH. l'er Press Association. Dunedin Last Night. An inquest was held at Port Chalmers to-day into the circumstances surrounding the death by. drowning of John Taiaroa on New Years' Eve and resulted in a verdict of ''accidentally drowned" being returned. _ It was evident that in the darkness Taiaroa either tripped over a line or slipped on the wet deck when making his way from the stern to the how ol the motor boat in order to reach the landing stage, and fell overboard, being carried away by the strong current.
