The worry, hard work, and time expended on washing days can be saved by using an O.K. washing machine. Messrs Okey, Son "and Arnold are now offering a line of these labor-savers. The Xew Plymouth High School Board invite tenders, to close on 20th January, for breaking-up and cleaning the play-ing-field at the High School. Morcy and Son announce a record sale for the last three days. A lot of curtain bargains are advertised to-day. In his replace advertisement on page 2 Mr Woodhou.sc offers some excellent investments for speculators. A sale, of high-class furniture will be held to-morrow by Mr Newton King at his mart, on account of Mr S. J. Hyslop. Special attention is called to tho quality of the furniture, which will be on view this afternoon.

A case of unclaimed goods lies at the office of Messrs Webster and McKellar, agents for the X.Z. Shipping Co. The introduction of celluloid for articles of apparel is upsetting the even tenor of the linen collar trade in particular. The celluloid is especially useful for country wear and travelling. The Xew Zealand Clothing Factory are advertising new shipments of celluloid goods.

Tn this issue will be found full particulars of a. sale by auction on account of Mr William Courtney on Thursday week, 23rd January. The sections under notice nre situated in front of Mr K. Griffiths' house on what is known, as Chilman'e Extended. The sections should find a ready sale, as thev are set down at a low upset, particulars of which will appear later.
