ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Friday. At the inquest on the girl Meade, aged 15, who died from a wound inflicted by a revolver bullet, a verdict of accidental death was returned. The medical evidence as to the trend of the bullet waa against any theory of suicide. The family's evidence waa that the girl was bright-spirited and of a. cheerful disposition.
Christchurch, Last Night. George Q. Stirling, an engine-driver, died suddenly at Bennett's Junction last nigM. Stirling was on the train service between Bennett's Junction and Kniapoi, and was on duty yesterday, apparently in good health and spirits. About midnight he had a. seizure, and, although everything possible was done for the man, he expired about an hour afterwards.
Ellen Rose Berry, seven years of age, whose- mother resides at Killinchy, was found dead in her bed this morning at the residence of her sister, Mrs Morris, Bass street, Woolston.
