INCREASED TAXATION.
Per Press Association. 1 Wellington, Last Night. The Commissioner of Taxes states that the income-tax this year will yield .■€300,000, an increase for the year of £22,134. The land-tax will amount to £550,000. This ie £102,858 more than last ye#T. The increase is chiefly flue to the new scale of graduated land-tax.
