ITS ItEI'ORTED SALE. London, January 5. The Observer reports that negotiation? are in progress to sell the Times newspaper property to the proprietors of several magazines and newspapers. REPORTS DENIED. < Received Otli, 10.55 p.m. London, January 6. Mr A. F. Walter, one of the chief owners of the Times, denies tfiat the direction of the Times will paw -out tll__ the Walter family. The Daily Chronicle states that Lori Northcliffe (late Sir Alf. Harmsworth), Sir G. Newnes, and Mr C: A. Pearson declare that the report that the Time* was to be sold to the proprietor of Sever \ 1 magazines and newspapers does tot refer to them. V' "<
