THE WOOL MARKET OUTLOOK.
It appears from the position of wool on the Home markets that tUbse growers who refused to accept values offering at the lirst local sales of the season and shipped to 'London will have to accept prices fully twenty-live per cent, below those ihey could have*-obtain«d in the Dominion. It is declared that crossbreds will probably not top B'/ s d in London this month, equal to 7'/ s d or a little under in the Dominion. On the other hand, it will probably be foand that the local sale this month will show a decline in rates of fully Id a pound on those ruling at last month's sale, but at this they will be on a parity with Lon--don values. It is a diliicult matter advising producers with wool at this figure what to do, but this can be said with some confidence: nothing will be gained, if the wool is to' be Bold, by neglecting a local sale and shipping to London for realisation. It ia declared on good authority (says the New Zealand Times) that the prospects for medium aad crossbrod wools are decidedly uncertain, and that little improvement is probable during 1008.
