At the wool sale to-day 12,300 bales were catalogued. The sale lasted from 9 a.lll. till late at night. About forty buyers were present. Bidding was very erratic, many lots eliciting no bids, and many more obtaining bids below averagu values. There were ft considerable proportion of withdrawals. Super halfln'eds and merinos were sold readily. Medium liatfbreds showed a slight improvement 011 last sale, and were well eonijX'tfd for. Coarse crossbreds were neglected. Prices were as follows:Superior merino lO'/vd t0.11%d, medium Del to lO'/id; super halfbred lO'/jd to 12</|d, medium B'/ 2 d to lOd, inferior 8d to 9d; super three-quarter B%d to liy 3 d, medium 7'/ 2 d to BVid; super crossbred 7d to ft'/id, medium fid to 7'/ 2 d, faulty ' s</ 4 d to o'/ 2 d; pieces 7'/ a d to 9%d, bellies iy 2 i to fid, locks 2%d to 4d.
