The Xew Zealanders sustained their fifth defeat at Runcorn. The determining factor was the superiority of the Runcorn forwards, the colonial backs being afforded few opportunities of showing their usual combination. Raip i fell heavily before the game started, and much of the ground was under water. The home team attacked from the outset, and victory was never in doubt. The New Zealanders for the greater i part of the game had to be content with JB defensive tactics. Excellent as was manner in which they opposed the corn attacks, the All Blacks were abel to prevent their line being crpdflflHf They did their best to recover tie lost ground, but without success.
THE PROPOSED EXOLISII TEAM TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. London, January 1. The Scottish Rugby Union does not support the proposed British team's visit to Now Zealand, considering it likely to indirectly strengthen the professional movement.
