MOTOR GAR ACCIDIiNT.; Per Press Association. Wellington, Last NightMr. Keir liardie met with an accidujt yesterday which will detain him in Wellington for esome days. He went to 'i'itahi Hay in the Mayor's motor car, whidi broke down. Another car was procured for the return to the city, and as Jfr, Hai'ilie had a public engagement, fll haste was made, Wlieu near Johnsonv:lle, two carts -were met, leaving |jtt!| space. The steering-gear of the cai failed to act properly, and ill endeavor ing to turn so as to get pant the carte the motor went over an embankment ilie Mayor and the chauffeur, were it"i hurt, but Mr. Keir liardie was budli bruised, and is believed to have s, n\ ribs broken. He is now staying at Up residency of the Mayor, the lion. T. W Higlojj!
