PETROLEUM NEWS.
On Friday last, a motion by the E. ' Hadley Company was heard by his Honor Mr. Justice Dcniiiston in Chambers, at the Supreme Court, Auckland. The company prayed for relief against, the forfeiture of its grant of boring rights on F. P. Shodroski's farm on the Carringlun road, which, it was alleged, had been incurred through noii-piTl'onn-ance of covenants. Mr Baume, K.C. (with him Jlr Preiidergast) appeared in support of the motion, and Mr Claude | 11. Weston against. After hearing legal argument, which wax lengthy, his Honor reserved his decision.
