From Our Own Correspondents. INGLEWQOD. Several minor accidents, fortunately unattended with very serious results, have occurred here during the last week. On Sunday last a horse attached to a gig was startled by a passing motor car, with the result that the gig was drawn up a stiff bank and precipitated into the road, a small girl, a daughter of Mr Larsen, sustaining injuries which necessitated a visit from the doctor, who stitched a nasty wound in her head. On Thursday last a son of the newlyarrived Church of England Vicar, Rev. Rickaby, was knocked down by a passing vehicle, whilst on Saturday last a horse belonging to Mr A. Gamlin was badly injured, through colliding with a cart driven by an employee of the Moa Farmers' Union. WAREA. A meeting of the Cape Egmont Horticultural Society was held in tho hall on Friday evening. There was a fair number of members present. Mr James Burgess presided. The old catalogue* were gone through, and a number of items were added to it, for publication in tliis year's catalogue. The show was a success last year, both financially and otherwise, and it ought to be a greater success this year, for there Is more time to work it up. Last year it was started In a hurry, and very little time was spent on It. There are now some twenty paid-up members for a start, and there will be no trouble in getting another tweny or more. The prize money will be bigger this time in some of the classes, giving more encouragement to competitors. It was decided to hold the show during the first week in March, 1908.

The milk supply aB the local factory is now about at its highest, and some of the suppliers have started to drop off. There are now 21%~box«r of but--,, ter made daily. Mr and Mrs J. J. Elwin (junr.J are on a short holiday to this district, before they leave for their new home in the Bay of Plenty. . The gang of men that lias been wording on the mountain tracks enme 'out on Sunday for their Christmas holidays, and will return after the New Year.
