All hope has been practically aban-l-~«—*jl(>ned regarding the safety of the miners intho-Jacomb'a Creek mine explosionThirteen bodies were discovered terribly mutilated, three being headless. New York, Decentlier 20. Just before each of the last four of 'the recent mining disasters earth shocks have been recorded by seismic instruments. _ It is suggested that the earth's unrest is a contributory cause to the explosions.
