LOCAL OPTION IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
Sydney, December 18. The President the Local Option {tout has announced that a writ of prohlKitfan restraining farther proceedings la connection with the classification of premises for redaction has been granted. The situation at present is that the Court cannot take further action until the first day of the ■ext term unless, upon application to the Full Court, the Crown can obtain * •tay or proceedings. It is understood, however, that the Government intends to bring down a declaratory measure fcofore the session closes making clear the intention of the Legislature with regard to the local option provision of the Act.
