SOUTHLAND SHOW.
Per Press Association. Invcrcargill, Last Night. The Southland A. and P. Show opened in line weather to-day. The stock forward was of exceptional quality, and many Northern breeders were represented. The show promises to eclipse tiie previous record and be worthy of one of the best agricultural districts in the Dominion, Following were the championships;— Border Leicester ram, T. L. Barnhill (Castle Rock); English Leicester ram, JlcKercher Bros. (Woodlands); Eoniney Marsh ewe, Bealey Bros.; Shropshire Down ram and ewo, J. S. Grieve (Wallaicctown); Cheviot ram and ewe, T. L. Barnhill; merino ram, W. J. Johnston; Corriedale ram, J. Stringfcllow; Jersey bull and heifer, F. E. Hellyer (Otago Peninsula).
